Terms of Service

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services. Sellers must also accept the Seller Agreement before listing products.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Services.
• Rebu Mall is positioned as a marketplace for university student communities in Tanzania. Some features (for example free student delivery in predefined areas) may be limited to eligible student users as described at checkout.
• Sellers must be approved by Rebu Mall before listing products and must meet eligibility rules in the Seller Agreement.

• You may sign in with Google or Apple and may be required to verify a Tanzanian phone number via OTP.
• Provide accurate registration information and keep it updated.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized access at rebutanzania@gmail.com.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, appear fraudulent, or pose safety or legal risk.

Rebu Mall operates a marketplace platform connecting buyers and sellers. Unless we expressly sell an item as the merchant of record, sellers are responsible for product quality, legality, descriptions, stock, and fulfillment commitments. Rebu Mall provides tooling for discovery, checkout, payments coordination, delivery options, notifications, and (where enabled) Instagram commerce.

• Provide accurate delivery and contact information, including location when required for Bolt delivery.
• Review product details, price, delivery option, and seller return policy before ordering.
• Complete payment according to the selected method and checkout instructions.
• Communicate respectfully and keep order-related communication on-platform where possible.
• Leave honest reviews based on genuine experience.

Sellers must comply with the Seller Agreement, including product quality and legality rules, accurate listings, timely confirmation and delivery, after-sales support, and the platform commission. Sellers who connect Instagram authorize Rebu Mall to use Instagram APIs as described in the Privacy Policy and Seller Agreement.

• After an order is placed, it typically awaits seller confirmation (in stock) or rejection (out of stock / other reason).
• Available delivery options may include Bolt, late (evening) platform delivery, free delivery for eligible students in predefined areas, or seller's own delivery. Options and costs shown at checkout control what applies to your order.
• Bolt delivery requires location data and is available with mobile payment flows as configured in the Services.
• For some cash-on-delivery flows, a commitment / delivery fee may be charged upfront via mobile money while product price is paid in cash on delivery.
• Sellers who initially cannot deliver may, where offered, switch to Rebu Mall delivery options (platform fallback). Additional delivery costs may apply as shown in-product.

• Prices are in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) unless stated otherwise.
• Mobile money payments are processed by PayMe Africa (or successor providers we designate). We do not store your mobile money PIN.
• For eligible mobile-payment orders, funds may be held pending successful delivery / settlement ("escrow"-style protection as described in the app).
• Cash on Delivery (COD) is available only where the selected delivery and payment combination allows it.
• Rebu Mall charges sellers a platform commission of 6% of the product price on successful sales. Commission is not charged on delivery fees. Seller payouts follow platform settlement rules after delivery (or as otherwise stated for COD).
• Buyers are responsible for applicable delivery fees shown at checkout.

Where enabled, sellers may connect Instagram and link posts to products. Buyers may receive checkout links via Instagram comments or Direct Messages and complete purchase on Rebu Mall web checkout pages. Use of Instagram features is also subject to Meta's terms and policies. Abuse of messaging, spam, or unauthorized automation is prohibited.

Refund and return rules are primarily those stated by the seller in the product listing. Rebu Mall may provide mediation support but is not obligated to resolve every dispute. Payment and delivery outcomes may also follow the rules of the selected flow (mobile escrow vs COD). Contact support at rebutanzania@gmail.com for assistance.

• Illegal, counterfeit, stolen, or unsafe goods
• Human drugs / medicines and other items prohibited under Tanzanian law
• Fraud, payment manipulation, fake reviews, impersonation, harassment
• Circumventing platform fees or taking payment / delivery entirely off-platform to avoid commission
• Scraping, attacking, or interfering with the Services
• Using Instagram permissions for purposes other than legitimate Social Commerce on Rebu Mall

Rebu Mall branding, software, and platform content are owned by Rebu Mall or its licensors. Sellers retain ownership of their listing content but grant Rebu Mall a license to host, display, and promote that content in connection with the Services (including Instagram commerce where connected).

The Services are provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rebu Mall is not liable for product quality or legality of third-party listings, seller or buyer failure to complete a transaction, delivery partner delays outside our reasonable control, or indirect / consequential damages. Our aggregate liability arising from your use of the Services is limited to fees you paid to Rebu Mall in the twelve (12) months before the claim (or, if none, TZS 50,000).

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Courts in Tanzania have jurisdiction over disputes that cannot be resolved amicably.

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
